The Bright Side

I decided to create another blog. The reason is because I worry that I do not say thank you enough. So I'll use this blog to say thank you, and hopefully it will help me focus more on the good stuff instead of the bad. If you are reading this and have a comment; post it, or if you are reading this and find something you are thankful for; post it! No matter how big or small; silly or serious; and even if it doesn't make sense...

June 19, 2010

It's Fathers day weekend so my first thankfuls are to the wonderful men in my life:

I am thankful for:

My Dad- Daddy I know things were not always perfect when I was younger, and I know I was a handful. I'm so thankful that out of all the guys out there that you are *my* dad. I will always remember the Wednesday nights Mom would go play bingo; and you would get Pete and I a pizza and stay up late (even though it was a school night). I will remember licking the salt off of you margarita glasses and acting like I had no idea what happened!

My Grandfather - You passed away, but I still think of you every day. I am thankful for the time I spent with you. I will always remember getting you Father's day card with scratch off tickets! I will also always remember the Willie Nelson concert and driving down the road (slowly LOL) with Randy Travis on the radio. I miss you, and I hope you know how much I love you.

My GrandDonald - You've passed on too; I understand everyone does; but that doesn't make it any easier. I am thankful that you raised my Dad; that you were a great Graddad to me and Pet; and that you were such a great Great GrandDad to Kate. I am thankful for the cookies, the laughing and the nights watching Golden Girls, Murder She Wrote and Empty Nest.

My Husband Frank - I am thankful that I have such a great husband. You take care of me when I'm sick, cook dinner, clean the house, and are a wonderful Father to Kate. I could not ask for a better partner. You want to get your comic published and having to take care of me really puts that on the back burner. I'm sorry for that, but I know that no man could ever be the man you are. And I am so thankful that I found you.

My Father-in law - I'm not sure how I managed to luck out in the in law department but I got some great ones! I am thankful for you; because you raised Frank to be a great man, because you pretend to be a horn on Christmas morning, and because you are an amazing Grandfather to Kate.

I am thankful for:
Pete, my brother.
Jess, my best friend
Chris, Damon and the Simms clan--you all are amazing people.
Kate, my beautiful daughter.
My parents and Franks parents
the chirping birds, inside and out.
The online CF support groups that help me deal
Angie and Eric
Face book, for making it so easy to keep in touch with the people I care about.
